For the latest RX 450h and RX 450h F SPORT we challenged ourselves with creating the best, most innovative, luxury crossover ever built. Featuring a bolder exterior centred on a Lexus signature ‘spindle grille’ and advanced technologies like Remote Touch and Head-Up Display, it’s an extraordinarily enjoyable crossover to drive. To achieve this, we tuned it at the Nürburgring, proving – quite literally – that we don’t stop until we create amazing. In its superbly tranquil and comfortable cabin, the RX 450h will keep you relaxed, even on long journeys. The sumptuous driver’s seat offers extensive electric adjustments while, for ease of entry, it also slides back and the steering wheel retracts. Rear seats slide too, but also recline or fold for extra comfort and space. Exquisitely stitched leather is available on all RX 450h models with the finest semi-aniline leather upholstery reserved for Luxury grade versions. Gentle lighting illuminates the start button and gearshift, and storage compartments open and close with the calming motion of a traditional Japanese sliding door.

The award-winning quality of our RX crossover begins at the Kyushu plant, where production is overseen by Lexus ‘Takumi’ master craftspeople. Inside the plant, we assemble our cars in clean room conditions; employees wear pocketless, anti-static clothing and wash their shoes before entering the line. A water screen – nicknamed Niagara – reduces particles ever further. Gleaming paintwork is produced by hand sanding each foundation coat (a time-consuming process normally reserved for coach-built cars). Finally, to check for leaks, every RX undergoes a special ‘typhoon test’ in a high-pressure water chamber.
