V6 ENGINE

The GS 450h is specified with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine which was specifically developed to operate as an integral element of Lexus Hybrid Drive.

This lightweight, all-aluminium power plant develops 218 kW @ 6,400 rpm and 368 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. Combined with the high voltage electric motor, total power output is 254 kW.
0 – 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds demonstrates the outstanding performance of Lexus Hybrid Drive – acceleration is far quicker than a comparable vehicle powered solely by a 6 cylinder engine.

Technologically advanced direct injection and a high compression ratio contribute significantly to this excellent performance.
The award-winning dual Variable Valve Timing-intelligent (VVT-i) constantly tunes the engine to suit precise driving conditions.
