LEXUS CAR CHARGING

Designed to fit around every lifestyle and adventure, discover the ease of charging your Lexus Electrified vehicle. From costs to charge point locations, uncover everything you need to know.

HOW MUCH DOES ELECTRIC CHARGING COST?

There are quick and powerful solutions for both home and public electric vehicle charging, just as there are cost variables across the two.

Home charging overnight is significantly more cost-efficient than charging throughout the day, with some providers offering lower tariffs during this time. Whilst for public charge points, the Lexus Charging Network subscription allows more affordable charging when travelling, offering up to six months free for all-electric vehicles and one month free for plug-in hybrid models.

When it comes to the long term cost benefits of electric driving, these lie in the comparison of fuel driving. Electricity costs are lower and more stable in the long run.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHARGE?

COST-EFFICIENT

HOME CHARGING

When fully charging your electric vehicle’s battery, 4-8 hours of undisrupted charge time is expected for 7kW chargers. However, this varies between vehicles and charging models. Not only will overnight charging at home fit seamlessly around your lifestyle, but it will also maximise efficiency when electricity demand is lower.
FAST CHARGING

ON THE GO

With the advancement of Lexus Electrified technology, electric and hybrid vehicle drivers can expect to fully charge their car battery in 3-4 hours at the majority of the 150,000 EU public charge points available. Thanks to a fast charging 50kW of power, said units can charge batteries by 80% in just 30 minutes. So getting back on the road is effortless.

HOW TO CHARGE AN ELECTRIC CAR

HOME CHARGING

SMART WALLBOX

When charging your electric or hybrid vehicle from home, a conventional wall plug can be used. However, to maximise efficiency and ease, installing a smart, compact wallbox at home is highly recommended. Some countries also offer grants of up to 75% off the upfront cost of a home charger.
PUBLIC CHARGING

CHARGING CABLE

To charge whilst travelling, you’ll need a charging cable in tow to access charge points without cables. For on-the-go ease, our Lexus Charging Network allows Lexus Electrified drivers access to over 150,000 EU public charge points. And, discounts for both all-electric and plug-in hybrid drivers when you join.
SEAMLESS START

EXPERT INSTALLATION

For complete peace of mind when installing your home charger, leave it in the safe hands of a professional engineer. At Lexus, we will happily organise a trusted partner to carry out the work, ensuring the wiring of the charging unit is stable and secure to meet the required standard.

CHARGING FAQS

Yes, you can. By installing a dedicated home charger, you’re able to charge your vehicle from the comfort of your own home.

If you don’t have a dedicated home charging point, you can charge your electric vehicle using a regular plug socket. However, this charging method is much slower and much less efficient.

Whilst out on the road in your electric vehicle, you can access multiple public charging stations when needed. We recommend always having a charging cable to hand for stations without them.

Found in the Lexus Link app, our Lexus Public Charging Network identifies over 150,000 public charging points across Europe, making it easy to find one nearby.

Leaving your electric or hybrid vehicle to charge overnight is perfectly fine. Plus, charging overnight is more cost-efficient, as some providers offer lower tariffs during this time.

You can drive and own an electric vehicle without a home charging point, as there are public charging points available for you to use.
