The result of a five-year creative journey, the all-new, fifth-generation Lexus flagship transforms the luxury sedan into a totally new art form. Using technology first developed for jet fighter aircraft, the LS’s high resolution colour Head-Up Display is positioned unobtrusively in your field of vision and projects key information onto the windscreen. At 24 inches this is the largest in the world, and it creates an image so crisp and sharp you’ll have no problem viewing the data, even in the very brightest sunlight.

ART WOOD ORGANIC INLAY

Inspired by a blazing fire the Art Wood Organic inlay took more than a year’s work to define. By layering the wood and applying a natural gloss coating to enhance the vibrancy of the grain, an impression of flickering flames is produced.

The wood is sustainably and responsibly sourced from the Agathis tree, a species native to Southeast Asia. Thin veneer sheets are stacked in multiple layers and then precision-sliced across the grain by the Takumi to produce the ultimate pattern. The striking curves and bold contrasts this process produces mark a new approach by Lexus, with strong appeal for people who value distinctive quality and forward-looking design.

UP TO TWELVE AIRBAGS

The LS is equipped with ten airbags as standard, and up to twelve when fitted with a rear power seat. In the case of a collision, we've designed a depression in the centre of the front passenger airbag to cradle delicate areas like the nose and mouth.

The Rear Cross Traffic Alert detects obstacles, vehicles and pedestrians around your car while you're reversing. If necessary, the system will activate a buzzer and a visual warning in your centre display and door mirrors. It can even apply Drive Force Limiting Control and Brake Control to avoid a collision.
