A CELEBRATED DEPARTURE FOR THE LOFT BY LEXUS

Established in 2018 by Lexus and Brussels Airlines, and located in Terminal A at Brussels Airport, THE LOFT elevated the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi to new heights while extending the world-renowned Lexus customer experience to international business travellers.

Every aspect of THE LOFT was curated to mirror the carefully balanced ethos of Takumi craftsmanship, distinctive design, exhilarating performance and cutting-edge innovation. From shiatsu massage chairs and extra-sensory showers to star-lit sleeping pods and an in-house chocolatier, THE LOFT introduced its guests to the peerless service and hospitality synonymous with Lexus.

Through its alliance with Lexus, THE LOFT was expanded to welcome up to 500 guests at any one time, hosting on average 1,500 people a day. In addition to inviting guests to discover the carmaker’s luxury lifestyle elements, THE LOFT showcased objects from the Lexus Design Awards. With Brussels home to Lexus’s European headquarters, the connection between the Lexus brand and the city was fully realised and celebrated within the space.

In each of its seven years of operation, THE LOFT won the coveted World Travel Award for Europe’s leading airline lounge. Reflecting on this achievement, Yves Bernaerts, Lounge Manager at Brussels Airlines, said: “This lounge has been recognised seven times as Europe’s Leading Airline Lounge because we never took the award for granted. Over the years, we have consistently worked to ensure that we remain at the top.”
