AN EPIC EXTERIOR

  • The all-new ES has been developed under the Lexus design concept, Clean Tech x Elegance, which pairs refinement with a simple and clean aesthetic. 
  • A larger car in every dimension, the ES presents a dramatic form of contoured athletic purpose and aerodynamic excellence. 
  • The flowing silhouette and sharply tapered cabin confer a sleek and streamlined side view. 
  • Distinctive next-generation L-signature front and rear lights make the ES instantly recognisable as a Lexus.

A DISTINCTIVE INTERIOR

  • The ES interior offers a simplified yet highly sophisticated space, 
with the upper section of the cabin open and spacious to 
enhance visibility.
  • Embracing the Lexus Tazuna principles, the cockpit enables controls to be operated and information monitored with minimal hand and eye movement.
  • New bamboo-styled door panels screen a shifting spectacle of ambient coloured light, with a choice of gradually changing colours or a fixed setting.
  • A unique aesthetic has been achieved by pairing the new embossed style of upholstery with the calming ambient lighting.

NEXT-LEVEL LUXURY AND COMFORT

  • The ES presents a spacious, business-class cabin environment for a luxurious and engaging driving experience.
  • For chauffeur-driven services, options include reclining rear seats, an ottoman extendable leg-rest and a forward-folding front passenger seat. 
  • Sumptuous yet supportive newly-designed front seats help maintain posture while minimising steering muscle strain. 
  • Noise and vibrations within the cabin have been significantly reduced with improved door sealing and sound-insulating glass.

A CHOICE OF NEW POWERTRAIN OPTIONS

  • A Lexus-first, the ES will be offered with a choice of self-charging hybrid and all-electric powertrains.
  • Available in two variants for each powertrain, the ES will also be offered in a choice of front and all-wheel drive. 
  • The all-electric ES is expected to have a WLTP standard range of up to 530 km (330 miles)* and a charging time of around 30 minutes for fast charging up to 80%*.  
  • For the self-charging vehicles, the hybrid battery has been upgraded for greater efficiency, with the power unit rigidity improved to suppress vibrations.
*Data is still to be finalised on range and charging times. Charging times may vary depending on factors such as ambient temperature and charger specifications.

BUILDING ON THE LEXUS DRIVING SIGNATURE 

  • Embracing the principles of comfort, confidence and control, the ES has been meticulously honed to fully deliver on the famed Lexus Driving Signature.
  • Upgrades to the structural rigidity minimise vibrations and contribute to sharp, intuitive steering and smooth acceleration and braking.
  • The steering system uses a variable-gear rack that supports stability at speed, quick response when cornering and easier low-speed manoeuvrability.
  • The suspension has been fully redeveloped, enhancing the transmission of power to the road and heightening the smoothness of the ride.

STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY

  • The new digital cockpit experience seamlessly integrates the 12.3” driver display and the 14” touchscreen with the Lexus Link+ app.
  • Equipped with LexusConnect navigation and intuitive audio climate functions, the touchscreen also runs Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay®. 
  • A new generation voice assistant enables the driver to manage numerous onboard functions, including updating destinations, checking on available range and adjusting the cabin temperature.  
  • When the ES is switched on, the new Hidden Switch function illuminates a series of haptic switches previously not visible within the dashboard upholstery.

NEW ADVANCED SAFETY FEATURES

  • The ES benefits from numerous enhancements to the Lexus Safety System+ and driver support functions. 
  • The Pre-Collision Safety automatic braking system has been expanded to identify and respond to a wide range of scenarios, including electric scooters.  
  • The Blind Spot Monitor now includes detection of bicycles and motorcycles, which helps prevent accidents when making left and right turns. 
  • Also new to the ES, are Lane Change Assist and Front Cross Traffic Alert.
