WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE A PLUG-IN HYBRID?
A plug-in hybrid offers the ideal solution for those who want the best balance between electric and petrol performance. Enjoy fuel savings and pollution-free driving at speeds up to 135 km/h. Confidently undertake longer journeys as well as shorter ones in EV mode. Charging the NX 450h+’s lithium-ion battery is simple and the presence of the powerful petrol engine reduces the ‘range-anxiety’ experienced by many choosing an electrified vehicle for the first time.

WHAT IS A PLUG-IN HYBRID?
A plug-in hybrid vehicle (or PHEV) has both a petrol (or sometimes diesel) engine and an electric motor(s). The battery is larger than the ones found in self-charging hybrids, but smaller than all-electric cars. The new Lexus NX 450h+ Plug-in Hybrid allows you to drive up to 74 km (97 km in the city) in Electric Vehicle (EV) mode with amazing refinement and powerful acceleration. When the battery is depleted, self-charging hybrid capability provides an unbeatably efficient drive in hybrid mode.

HOW DO I CHARGE A PLUG-IN HYBRID?
Plug-in hybrids have smaller batteries than all-electric cars which means they can be charged quickly at home or at one of the ever-increasing numbers of charging stations. At home, you can plug them into a standard mains socket or a Lexus wall charger installed for faster charging. On the road, the Lexus Link app shows you the location, availability and even cost per km at public charging stations across Europe.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO DRIVE A PLUG-IN HYBRID?
A plug-in hybrid such as the new NX 450h+ impresses whatever your driving style. The first Lexus Plug-in Hybrid offers a unique sweet spot between ride comfort and dynamics which we call the ‘Lexus Driving Signature’. In EV mode, the quietness of the car is striking. When the decision is made to use the combustion engine, the transition from electric to petrol is seamless and the car performs like any traditional vehicle at higher speeds. Above all, the journey will be smooth and relaxing. You will enjoy control, power and the exhilaration that comes with driving every Lexus.
